Meet Elena Villoresi.
Elena Villoresi is the founder and lead specialist at Italy-U.S. Certified Translations & Procedural Support. She is an English ↔ Italian translator and interpreter with over 30 years of professional experience. Elena is also a member of the American Translators Association (ATA), registered in the Official Florence CCIAA State Registry of Expert Translators & Interpreters (Iscritta al Ruolo dei Periti ed Esperti, CCIAA di Firenze n. 1429).

Her career began in New York City, where she held translation, interpretation and administrative roles at institutions such as the Italy–America Chamber of Commerce, Cassa di Risparmio bank and the Italian Trade Agency.
After moving to Florence, she worked as a bilingual executive assistant to the Southern European CEO of Richardson Electronics, a US multinational company.
In this role, she continued to develop her expertise in corporate and legal communication in an international setting.
For years now, her work has focused entirely on certified translation and documentation for people dealing with official matters in both Italy and the U.S..
A bilingual, bicultural perspective
Elena was born to an American mother and an Italian father, and has attended school and worked in both countries. This has shaped how she approaches every document, always with an eye on how it needs to function in two different systems, not just one.
How we work
Every translation is certified exactly according to U.S. federal requirements while each sworn translation (traduzione giurata) follows Italian legal procedure, including certification at the Florence Court when it’s required.
Before we translate anything, we check your documents for consistency (names, dates, records) to reduce the risk of a delay or rejection down the line.

We are a small, focused practice. You work directly with us, no intermediaries, no handoffs.
